Why doesn't my A/C turn on when it is cold outside?

Your A/C is designed to cool in warm weather when the outside temperature is above 60°F. If it is below 60°F outside the compressor will not turn on. If your unit is equipped with a fresh air vent we suggest that you open it up and turn the fan on, this will allow the fresh air from the outside to come in.
