Why Choose a Ceiling Suspended Model?

If you’re cooling a large room with a high ceiling and less than 9 ¼" above-ceiling clearance, a ceiling suspended model is your best option. Ideal for great rooms, workshops, additions and garage conversions, ceiling suspended models are also an excellent choice when a wall mount isn’t possible.

The indoor air handler measures 65 ⅜" wide x 9 ½" high x 27 ½" deep and can be positioned anywhere on the ceiling for maximum effectiveness. The included remote control makes operation easy no matter where you place the unit; you also can wire the unit to an optional wall controller.

Friedrich’s ceiling suspended heat pump provides powerful, energy-efficient zone cooling and heating, with 3 tons of capacity at 15.0 SEER. See the full range of ductless split system features.

Ceiling Suspended Overview

Like other ductless models, a ceiling suspended system consists of two parts, an outdoor condensing unit and an indoor air handler connected by refrigerant and electrical lines that run through a 3″ opening in an exterior wall. You will need a licensed HVAC technician to connect the lines between the indoor and outdoor components.

The advantages of Inverter Technology

Friedrich ceiling suspended ductless split system features Inverter Technology, which reaches the desired temperature faster, maintains it more accurately and reduces energy consumption with fewer compressor startups and shutdowns. It also varies the speeds of the compressor, condenser and indoor fan to provide only the cooling capacity needed to reach the set temperature.
